Sian Britton Wins 2009 Whitecliffe College of Arts & Design Window Display Competition
Weeks of preparation and late nights spent planning and organising a window display has finally paid off for one Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design student. Sian Britton, a fourth year fashion student, has been awarded the overall winner of the annual Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design Window Display competition with her display entitled Something Like a Phenomena. The runner up was fellow fashion student Lan Yu with her installation Who Made All the Rules that was showcased at Saks on Broadway.
Earlier this month we were treated to a vicarious stroll through the lens of Designer Direction photographer Tux Hika as he captured the displays in Newmarket boutique windows – and what a treat indeed! The calibre of displays produced were all worthy of a permanent position in any high-end boutique and those who participated should be proud of their individual accomplishment.
By all accounts the Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design Window Display competition was a huge success and we look forward to seeing what students have in store for us next year.
