Pattern Maker
Andrea Moore

Auckland role

Andrea Moore is moving her work room to Auckland and seeks an experienced pattern maker. Moore has 6 stores nationwide and a wholesale business in NZ and Australia. She also designs knitwear under the label Silverdale by Andrea Moore.

The successful applicant will have extensive women’s wear pattern making experience, be a team player, motivated by quality, fashion and deadlines. You will have PAD experience and will be responsible for pattern making, coordinating sampling, liaising with cutters, machinists and factories. You will need good technical knowledge of garment construction and the fitting process.

Tutor – Fashion Design, School Holiday Course

Roles in Wellington & Christchurch

A company specialising in high-level creative school holiday courses for primary and secondary students is looking for new tutors for their two Fashion Design and Wearable Arts courses coming up in Christchurch and Wellington these school holidays.

The course focusses on giving students a chance to experience various aspects of the fashion and design world, from creating their own label, their own mood board, and ending in a fun catwalk show. This is a chance to work with some great kids, for fantastic remuneration. All the lesson plans and materials needed for the course are provided by the company.

For the Christchurch venue, you must be available 6th-8th October. For the Wellington venue, you must be available 7th-9th October.

Key skills sought: Someone experienced in Fashion/Design/Art, as well as being a Tutor/Teacher/Lecturer, or at least have some experience working with students.

Applicants must live in the Christchurch/Wellington area, or be willing to travel.
