Lonely Hearts – What is Your Damage?

Lonely Hearts Winter 10

Lonely Hearts kicked off the Air New Zealand Fashion Week last Monday with an installation of 12 heavy duty flat screen LG televisions playing a short film showcasing their winter 2010 collection entitled What is Your Damage?

Held at the top floor of the Process showroom in Auckland, the installation took centre stage, shrouded in hundreds of metres of VHS tape creating a hideaway from the crowded bustle of guests. The installation was cleverly executed with each video playing slightly ahead of the next giving an illusion of models wandering from screen to screen.

The experience within the VHS ticker tape cocoon was quite mesmeric and as a fifteen minute film you didn’t feel as though you were standing entranced for that length of time. We put it down to the great Lonely Hearts collection and the intelligence behind both the event management and film direction.

We are going to let the short film do all the talking about what you can expect from Lonely Hearts next winter and be assured that the only damage that will come from viewing the collection is to your wallet.
