You’ve Come a Long Way Baby

I’m not usually one for heart on your sleeve, mooshy speeches (or blogs) but Designer Direction, my demanding electro-baby, is now six months old. Yep, it was only six month’s ago in April that we launched, complete with a one ‘wo-man’ band, an unreliable internet connection and a dream to make a difference.

Now as we fast forward six months down the track, the Designer Direction team has grown into a pool of talented writers, photographers and creatives who all share a common passion for the industry, a group of people that I would consider ‘whanau’ (that’s family in Maori).

My electro-baby is finally growing up and is supported by a big family of amazing people to help in her upbringing. Really, what more could a mother ask for?

Not much!

The coming months  for Designer Direction are jam packed with exciting developments and you can all look forward to new sections (shhh, more to come in the next few months), competitions, loads more content for our #101 and help sections and more… much more.

As our man Fatboy Slim once mixed up, ‘you’ve come a long way baby’ and as we plan for the future I just wanted to give a shout out to our Designer Direction family and to make a little mention that we are 6 months old!
