We have been on a bit of a voting spree over the last 4 weeks. First we did a shout out for the people to back our boy and Discovered model Hunter McLeod in the NZFW New Talent Comp’ – that he won. Next we asked for y’all to support our Discovered designers in the FashionTV Online Designer Awards and 3 of our 4 winners made it into the finals.
Our friends at Fashion Industry New Zealand (FINZ), have organised the New Zealand Fashion Week seminar series, a great initiative aimed at equipping designers with the fundamentals on developing a strategy around showing or exhibiting at New Zealand Fashion Week, along with everything that comes before and after.
CPIT’s ‘Debut’ mid year fashion show, on Saturday the 26th of June, showcased the budding talent and hard work of third year fashion design students. Held at Burnside High Schools Aurora Centre seats were packed out and the lively crowd was buzzing with anticipation. The show, which lasted close to an hour, displayed some stand out talent emerging through the students highly promising design flair and aptitude.
