The highlight for me during fashion week was without a doubt – the Nicole Miller show – and I should be so lucky. I have been watching Miller since the whole Tyra vs Naomi debacle started, and that’s a long, long time ago. I’ve always thought of Nicole Millers clothing as flirtatious and fun, but this show seemed more edgy and monochromatic than normal.
Sabatini have always been purveyors of fine knitwear that is synonymous with innovation and style. Yet this year, it’s not only about knitwear, it’s about surface enrichment of texture through the use of sequins, cut-out shapes and sheer details that create an air of sensuality.
A furore of colour delight the senses in an all-out line up of glamour. Augustine in past seasons brought the bling with heavily-beaded pieces. Now, any amount of embroidery details have been relinquished to the shoulders and bordering necklines.
